Highlights from the program: 

 

  • Mixed-use wooden construction with business, retail and apartments certified as BREEM Excellent with 40% less energy consumption than ordinary office buildings.

  • Art and culture define the waterfront in Oslo; visit the new Edward Munch Museum, designed by the Spanish office Abalos & Herreros with room for 500,000 visitors a year.

  • Oslo's new main library: Deichmanns Bibliotek, designed by the Oslo architects Lund Hagem arkitekter and Atelier Oslo.

  • New National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design, designed by German Kleihues + Schuwerk.

  • From industrial port to recreational urban spaces, i.a. with harbour bathing facilities and green spaces for informal communities.

  • Presentation by the Municipality of Oslo on how to carry through an ambitious climate strategy.

  • Stavanger: You will visit projects in CLT/wood, large business facility and housing. 

  • Behind the scenes visit to a local architect office, meeting with the developers and wood construction specialist.
